Unbeaten Argentina Advances to Final
Defending champions Argentina have secured their spot in the final of the 2024 Copa America after defeating Canada 3-0 in the semifinals.
Argentina, who came into the match with an impressive record of 16 wins and one draw in their previous 18 games, dominated the match from the outset. Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a stunning free kick, and Lautaro Martinez added a second goal just before halftime.
Canada had a few chances to get back in the game, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez made several key saves to preserve the clean sheet.
In the other semifinal, Uruguay and Colombia will face off on Thursday. The winner of that match will face Argentina in the final on Sunday.
